One flew over the Cuckoo's nest
I was really affected by this film to the degree that I used the film title for a series of articles that I wrote in the University journal "Sumer". I still like the main idea of the file, the mutiny on the confines and, I am totally aware about the heavy price a rebellion must pay. One of the best films I have seen.
Once upon a time in America
Sergio Leone's final film is a cinematic masterpiece. The music, the screenplay, and the genius transitions in the film (flash back) give an unforgettable experience. The gangster life, full of love, money, power, challenge, friendship and ...Absurdity!. Power is aphrodisiac, Kessinger used to say, well, it is. The use of Chinese shadow play had a good cinematographic effect. Violence scenes are well structured. I loved the film!
Out of Africa:
The mixture of natural scenes, Beethoven music, passion and money on a background of the colonial history in Africa, made a film, only a film, you do not feel its personalities as real people.
