Arabic calligraphy

A relatively new interest, Arabic calligraphy is becoming more and more attractive for me. The beauty of the text and the elegant movement of the lines are inspiring. Arabic calligraphy represents precision, harmony, mathematics and music combined with wisdom. I tried to make a small collection of those paintings from the internet.

When the inquisition courts swept Andalusia, many Masjids (Mosque) where converted to churches. In many of those new churches Arabic calligraphy is still there. You can read in some of them “ No God but Allah, Muhammad is the prophet of the God”!
