Place Of Birth
I was born in Thi-Qar (Al-Nasseria) south of Iraq map, a 7000 years old historical city. Thi-Qar is just few miles away from Ur where Abraham, the father of all religions, was born and lived. In this city the first human civilization was created by the Sumerians. Sumer, where writing, calculus and philosophy started and triggered the development in the human society, is just 30 km from Thi-Qar.
Family
However, my grand fathers came from the Arabic peninsula, they were the posterity of the prophet Mohammed from his daughter Fatima and his cousin Ali ben Abi-Talib. Al-Hussain ben Ali ben Abi-Talib, who scarified his life for the sake of justice, freedom and faith, is the third grandfather in our family pedigree.
My Education
I started my education in Iraq and through the various stages of my growth and development one could easily point out the milestones in this long yet unfinished endeavor in seeking scientific knowledge. I own my mother so much for she encouraged me to read and learn in my childhood, to my father who made a man out of the shy boy, to my professor Khalid Naji who taught me to trust no one but the scientific fact and to all my friends who supported me during the hard times.
